Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Tech O&M Electrical Position type: Fulltime-Contract Duration: 12 months Location: Corpus Christi, TX As a Tech OEM Electrical you will: Performs troubleshooting, diagnostics, installation, and repair of plant electrical equipment. Initiates and follows through on electrical projects to improve plant processes and/or safety. Plans and implements the electrical maintenance and preventative maintenance programs and oversees supplementary electrical contractors during outages and provides QA/QC for work of contractors to ensure that client's standards are met. Provides recommendations for process improvements and is willing to train others in all aspects of the improvements. Cross-trains other O&M Technicians, as assigned, to support plant maintenance needs. Participates in plant-sponsored operator and maintenance training and continuing training. Practices situational leadership, safety, and environmental stewardship. Perform tasks in inclement weather and hazardous environments. Perform 24-7 Call-Duty on a rotational basis to respond to abnormal system conditions Dependable, reliable and predictable attendance is required. Must possess a valid, in-state motor vehicle operator's license at all times. The ideal candidate will have: Associate degree from an accredited college, or Journeymen Electrician license or certification in lieu of degree. Progressive work experience as a technician in a related industry such as oil & gas or utilities Experience in using of meters, meggers, high voltage testers, electrical protective equipment, and similar instruments. Strong ability to read and understand schematics, logic diagrams, electrical circuitry, P&IDs, technical manuals, and instructions and be able to apply this understanding to electrical work. Experience as an Industrial Electrician. Demonstrated experience in a power, steam generation, or other industrial facility is desirable. Combined Cycle power plant experience is preferred.
