we serve are built to last. Job Summary: Certerra is seeking a
Construction Materials Technician to perform field and/or
laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction
materials—including soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and
steel. This role involves close coordination with project managers,
engineering technicians, client representatives, contractors, and
other stakeholders to ensure compliance with project requirements
and testing protocols. Responsibilities include collecting and
transporting material samples with proper documentation to the
laboratory, conducting testing and analysis, and preparing clear,
accurate written and digital reports for daily submission to the
Certerra Project Manager. Technicians are expected to maintain and
clean equipment, vehicles, and work areas while adhering to strict
safety standards. This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in
high-profile, complex projects while working with a skilled and
dedicated technical team. Duties/Responsibilities: Under close
supervision of higher-level technicians or staff professionals,
assist on tasks and perform basic testing and observations duties.
Provides clear documentation of findings and results. Communicates
information to Project Manager and discusses accuracy of data in
preparation for submittal. Submits documentation and communicates
results as directed by the Project Manager Will be placed in a
progressively increased role of training and responsibility in work
assignments. Maintains assigned equipment. Follow safety rules and
practices and other safety requirements for all projects. Perform
pre-task planning prior to executing work. Report any safety issues
or concerns to management. Be responsible for maintaining quality
standards on all projects. Education/Qualifications: High school
diploma or equivalent. Minimum 0-6 months of relevant experience or
the equivalent in training and related experience. Obtain ACI
certification within 90 days of hire. Valid driver’s license with
acceptable violation history. Obtain Nuclear Density Gauge
certification within 6 months of hire. Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to perform physical tasks
such as lifting, standing, and walking during inspections and
