Description:Responsible for supervising department managers and for coordinating department and contract services related to the direct care of patients, including Nursing, Clinical, Education, Staff Development, and Health Services. He/She functions as an integral member of the multidisciplinary treatment team and assists in providing care and treatment that is appropriate to the ages and populations served, specifically children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. Populations may consist of psychiatric, chemically dependent, behavioral, and/or developmentally disordered clients. His/Her duties and responsibilities include the provision of patient care services appropriate to the ages and population served, specifically older adults, adults, adolescents, and children. Develops, implements, and monitors the Facility's plan for the provision of nursing care in compliance with Standards for Nursing Practice and Standards of Patient Care. He/She is responsible for maintaining Joint Commission standards and federal, state, and local regulations and requirements. He/She oversees the operational and administrative aspects of client care services, including budgetary operations. Works collaboratively with all departments and with other administrative team members in the delivery of quality patient care.
Reports To: Campus AdministratorQualifications:Education: Minimum of Bachelor's Degree or Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited School of Nursing. BSNpreferred. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse through the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners. Proficient computer skills. Valid driver license must be maintained.
Experience:One (1) year of relevant experience, experience in a psychiatric/behavioral health facility is preferred. In lieu of this experience, the facility will consider experience or education acquired in related fields (psychology, criminology, pediatrics, etc.)

The employee is required to routinely perform light lifting and/or moving from 1 to 20 lbs., frequently perform moderate lifting and/or moving from 21 to 60 lbs., and occasional lifting and/or moving of greater than 61 lbs.; requires vision and physical ability to regularly operate Devereux equipment/vehicles; requires physical ability to successfully perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and First Aid procedures; directly observe, document and visually monitor Safe & Positive Approaches techniques and participate if/when additional support is needed; and must be free of dependency and abuse of illegal or illicit drugs, alcohol, inhalants, and other chemical substances or controlled substances.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.While performing the duties of this position, an employee regularly works with clients with unpredictable behavior; works inside in areas that are adequately ventilated and lighted, frequently works outside while supervising clients in outdoor activities and may have exposure to changing temperature, humidity and weather conditions; may have occasional travel, as needed, off-site and escorting clients to appointments.
