Position Summary Information
Job Description Summary
The purpose of this position is to effectively lead and coordinate program curriculum and instruction, inclusive of face-to-face and remote learning for TWC Grant funded English as a Second Language (ESL) Program. Will also coordinate and develop specialized curriculum for Career Pathways models, including coaching new and existing instructors and guiding overall service delivery. Ensure and maintain implementation of the current and future Texas AEL Content Standards and guidance related to Career Pathways.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree
- Three (3) years experience or related experience with English as a Second Language programs, developing and designing academic and/or workforce training curriculum.

Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, professional correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Familiar with Texas AEL Content Standards, rules and guidelines related to curriculum.
- Familiar with designing schedules, courses and curriculum specific to ESL programs.

Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree.
- Five (5) years experience in curriculum design and implementation.

Job Duties
- Establish and revise as needed, the process for all adult basic education ESL and workforce programs including preparation and submission of all necessary documentation to the Texas Workforce Commission - Adult Basic Education Classes.
- Create curriculum, student orientation and academic schedules, syllabi, and lesson plans in accordance with TWC Adult Education and Literacy Performance Guide and Texas AEL Content Standards for face to face, remote and career pathways courses for English language learners.
- Provide direction to instructional staff regarding the process for development of adult education academic and workforce education programs.
- Collaborate with college officials including Deans, Faculty Chairs, and Instructional staff to coordinate the development of integrated education and training programs suited for ESL adult education students.
- Attend conferences as required and provide feedback and training to all staff including all ESL Instructors and staff regarding classroom management, student supports and instruction.
