Edinburg – The McAllen-Edinburg-Mission metropolitan area enjoys a

least expensive metro areas to live in the nation (2nd in
Kiplinger’s 2019 list). Residents spend less than the national
median sale price on home purchases, as well as less than the
national average on everyday expenses like food, transportation and
healthcare. These facts, coupled with the area’s relaxed pace of
life, safe neighborhoods, and welcoming communal environment, make
the region a great place to live and raise a family. With three
airports in the area, the Valley offers easy access to national and
international destinations including Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston,
Las Vegas and Mexico City. With year-round sunshine, tropical
breezes and little rainfall, the weather is another key draw to the
area. Temperatures are mild throughout the year, particularly in
winter, with an average high of 85.9° and low of 65.2°, making it

beach at South Padre Island and participating in wildlife and
outdoor activities like birdwatching, golfing and more. Don’t
