Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Cardiac Sonographer - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 12/29/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with vascular registry required and echo registry preferred to perform comprehensive cardiac and vascular studies. Responsibilities - Hospital setting in the Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer unit - Performs echocardiograms, including TEE and intraoperative studies, and vascular studies - Conducts stress echocardiograms, TCDs, TCOMs, EKGs, stress tests, holter monitoring, and ambulatory BP monitoring - Day shift, 5x8 hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday with 1-hour lunch - Rotating weekends, working every 4th to 5th weekend - Call coverage on the scheduled weekend and 1-2 weekdays per week - Modules completed during orientation via HealthStream - Responsible for all documentation associated with exams and procedures - Assists with clerical and reception duties as needed - Expected to maintain continuing education and participate in equipment cleaning and area organization - May assume supervisor responsibilities in the absence of a registered cardiovascular technologist supervisor - Modules are non-billable and average 6-7 hours for completion during orientation Requirements - Current BLS certification required - ARDMS or CCI registration in Vascular Technology required - ARDMS or CCI registration in Echocardiography preferred - Ability to perform vascular studies independently only if registered (RVT or RVS); registry eligible technologists must have a registered technologist present - License required if applicable - Submission of 2 references from supervisors within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration - Travel experience highly preferred - RTO must be submitted with profile - Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted - Hard document deadline is 3 business days prior to start date Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-624737.
