A rewarding opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with Emergency Room experience to work on a contract basis in Robstown, TX. This role focuses on delivering excellent care in a dynamic emergency department setting, ideal for nurses who thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy working with diverse patient populations. Responsibilities include: Providing direct patient care within a telemetry/med surge ED holding unit Managing patient assignments with ratios approximately 6:1 Administering and monitoring non-titrating cardiac drips Utilizing medical equipment such as Baxter IV pumps and GE telemetry monitors Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including charge nurses, bedside nurses, and patient care technicians Adhering to unit protocols and maintaining documentation within Meditech 5.6 EMR Key qualifications: Current Texas RN license is required ACLS and BLS certifications are mandatory Experience in telemetry and med surge units preferred Ability to float across med surge and telemetry areas Strong communication skills and a friendly, adaptable personality are an asset Comfortable working rotational weekends and possible on-call duties This position offers the chance to work in a state-of-the-art emergency department that supports an 18-40 bed unit with a dedicated professional staff.
