This contract opportunity is perfect for experienced Registered Nurses specializing in Emergency Room care, who hold current Texas licensure and certifications in ACLS and BLS. Key Responsibilities Provide compassionate and skilled nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department with 18-40 beds, maintaining a patient ratio of approximately 6:1. Administer and monitor non-titrating cardiac drips using equipment such as Baxter IV pumps and GE telemetry systems. Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team including Charge Nurses, PCTs, and unit staff during day and night shifts. Utilize Meditech 5.6 EMR to document patient care accurately. Adhere to unit policies including rotation of weekends and on-call duties as required. Float between Med Surge and telemetry units when necessary, maintaining flexibility in assignments. Qualifications Valid Texas RN License Current ACLS and BLS certifications (mandatory) Experience in emergency nursing care and cardiac monitoring Strong interpersonal skills; easy-going, friendly, and flexible demeanor preferred Schedule Shift details vary with day and night shifts available Weekend rotation required This role requires nurses who are ready to contribute in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating adaptability and excellent clinical judgment.
