Job Description Job Description Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A critical care nursing opportunity is available for experienced RN-ICU professionals with at least 2-3 years in intensive care units. This contract placement is located in Schertz, TX, with shifts based out of a major medical center in the San Antonio area. Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong critical thinking skills, possess current Texas RN licensure, and have certifications including ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke certification. Qualifications and Experience: Active Texas RN license (no temporary licenses accepted) Minimum 2-3 years ICU experience ACLS and BLS certifications NIH Stroke certification required Preferred: experience in MICU/MSICU, IABP and CRRT exposure Familiarity with Meditech documentation system favored Key Responsibilities: Deliver patient-centered care in a technologically advanced ICU setting Perform complex procedures such as chest tube management, intubations, central and arterial line care, and more Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes Adhere to unit policies including punctuality, documentation accuracy, and dress code standards Comply with float assignments as per facility guidelines Schedule: 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM7:30 PM or 7:00 PM7:30 AM) Rotating weekends Assignment length of 13 to 26 weeks Guaranteed 36 hours per week About the Location: Situated near San Antonio, Schertz offers a suburban lifestyle with easy access to a vibrant metropolitan area.
