Facility Information Facility: GSS ND Mandan Sunset Location: Mandan, ND Address: 1011 Boundary Street Northwest, Mandan, ND 58554, USA Shift: 12 Hours - Night Shifts Job Schedule: Full-time Weekly Hours: 36.00 Salary Range: $26.00 - $36.00 Pay Information: $20,000 Sign-On Bonus Job Summary The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for delivering professional nursing care to residents of all ages in a long-term care setting, under the guidance of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. The LPN will apply nursing principles relevant to the clinical environment and demonstrate proficiency in nursing practices, adhering to age and population-specific standards that address the physical and psychosocial needs of residents as outlined in their care plans. Key responsibilities include: Ensuring the health, comfort, and safety of residents. Contributing to resident assessments and administering medications or treatments as prescribed. Providing technical support to healthcare professionals when necessary. Documenting interactions with residents and outcomes related to care, medication, behavior, activities, and dietary needs. Building and maintaining effective relationships with residents, healthcare providers, and the community. Collaborating effectively as part of an interdisciplinary care team. Communicating clearly while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information. Advising residents and their families on prevention and treatment plans under the direction of a registered nurse or physician. Utilizing knowledge of resident education principles to create self-care programs. Performing additional related duties as assigned. Qualifications Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse; an Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred. If the role requires IV therapy/management skills, candidates must have graduated from a Board-approved AASPN program that includes IV therapy in the curriculum or completed an IV Therapy course sanctioned by the North Dakota Board of Nursing. Completion of a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the lifespan, or a minimum of 400 hours of experience as an LPN in another facility. Specific positions may have additional educational or training requirements. Must possess an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license from the State Nursing Board and/or have multi-state licensure privileges. Must obtain and maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications, including completing annual continuing education units (CEUs) and competency training as mandated by the department and facility.
