Job Description:
Aveanna Healthcare, a leader in home-based care, is seeking a
compassionate and skilled Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join
our team. This position involves working directly with pediatric
patients in their homes, assisting them to achieve their maximum
functional capabilities. Utilizing a patient-centered approach, you
will assess the needs of children and provide therapeutic
interventions to enhance their daily living skills in the
environment where they are most comfortable—their homes. At Aveanna
Healthcare, we empower our therapists to use their clinical
judgment and develop individualized care plans that promote optimal
health and development. Assess patient health and development
through direct observation and standardized assessments in a home
setting. Design and implement developmentally appropriate therapy
programs to target areas of need, including fine motor skills,
sensory integration, and cognitive functions. Educate family
members on how to support the patient’s therapy and developmental
goals. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to create cohesive
patient care plans. Regularly document sessions and patient
progress for continuing evaluation and treatment planning. Stay
updated with the latest therapeutic practices and regulations in
pediatric occupational therapy. Proven ability to develop and
implement therapeutic interventions Strong communication and
interpersonal skills for effective interaction with children and
families. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills Ability to
work independently in home settings Detail-oriented with strong

an Occupational Therapist National Board for Certification in
Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) CPR certification recommended
