We have RN and LPN openings in our nursing
home. In this position, you will plan, direct and carry out
shift routines on assigned unit and observe, direct and evaluate
the activities of personnel as the person in charge.
Make rounds to residents and observe their physical and

Manager, Nursing Supervisor or building Charge Nurse and to others
as policy dictates.
Listen to shift report and keep open lines of communication with
supervisor, co-workers and on-coming shift.
Verify that physician’s orders are transcribed and efficiently
carried out as written.
Follow all shift routines and policies and procedures in regard
to monitoring vital signs, weights, administration of medications
and treatments as ordered.
Chart and follow all policies related to maintenance of accurate
medical records. Contribute toward completing and updating
residents’ care plans.
Document and report all incidents and accidents that occur which
involve residents, visitors and staff.
Observe and assist at mealtime to ensure resident mealtimes are
conducted in a safe, dignified, appropriate and timely manner.
Maintain composure and be able to function appropriately during
emergency and other stressful situations.
Direct personnel to meet the needs of the resident and observe
the performance and quality of care they provide and initiate
disciplinary action where appropriate. Offer positive reinforcement
to personnel who maintain high performance standards.
Assist with the orientation of new personnel, on-going training
of staff members, performance evaluations of personnel supervised
and handle employee grievances
Interact with residents, resident’ families and staff in a
