Some mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilitypreferred. Usually works five to six days a week; overtime may be required based on production needs.Principal and Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesVerify ToolingComplete a visual inspection of the equipment to ensure everything is in place
make sure no potential foreign material is inside.Complete belt inspectionsMaintain a working knowledge of the equipment in order to make adjustments as need to ensure product quality
must know every single part of the machine, how to adjust these parts, and how to troubleshoot problems.Verify everything is ready.Responsible for product meeting quality specificationsMinimum EducationHigh School or equivalent not required but beneficial.Experience RequirementsWorked a minimum of 6 months of consecutive work history with one employer within the past 3 years.Experience PreferredExperience in poultry processing/manufacturing environment preferred.Some mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilitypreferredEnvironmental Factors and Physical RequirementsAbility to work for 8 hours or more in a stationary position or maneuver on a wet, moist, dry, greasy, floors which may include medal or plastic grating surfaces with up to 4 hours in a single interval. Ability to work from various types of ladders and/or stairs. Exposure to and work in temperatures of less than -40 degrees and 75 degrees with ambient humidity. Noise exposure of 110 db, and light intensity range of 50 to 100 foot candles. Bending, twisting assist in lifting up to 100 lbs, reaching, sitting, and grasping varies in repetitions, distance, degrees, angle, weight, heights, longest interval of time, objects grasped, and body positions depending upon the maintenance task required. Exposure to chlorinated water ( 50 ppm, Ammonia vapors ) 5 ppm, dry ice, caustic detergents, lubricating oils, hydraulic oils, and other chemicals found in a poultry processing plant. Must use and / or wear protective and safety equipment required for the job.All associates in this position are expected to:Wear all required PPE, including but not limited to eye protection, hearing protection, bump cap, slip resistant steel-toed boots.Become trained in LOTO and follow procedures at all times.Understand and follow all Safety policies and regulations to ensure a safe work environment.
