Description Positions available with Division of Parks and Recreation. Program runs September through June on Friday nights from 5:30 pm to 11:30 pm. Training will be provided prior to the start of the program.Skate, Rattle & Roll Floor Guard ($13.00 - $14.00 per hour)Floor guards will be responsible for set-up and break-down of the skating rink, facilitating games and contests with the kids, and enforcing skating rules during the program. You will be assisting facility patrons (parents and kids) on the skating floor to ensure they have the best experience possible! Responsibilities may include other tasks at the Skate Managers discretion. Minimum Qualifications Must be 16 years of age or older Strong customer service skills with kids and adults Must be able to Roller Skate or Roller Blade (or be willing to learn) Skate, Rattle & Roll Concessions Assistant ( $13.00 - $14.00 per hour ) Skate concessions assistants will be responsible for set-up and break-down of the concessions room, stocking and re-stocking snack inventory, reporting inventory shortages to the manager, and selling concessions to kids while giving appropriate change. You will be assisting facility patrons (parents and kids) in the concessions room to ensure they have the best experience possible! Responsibilities may include other tasks at the Skate Managers discretion. Minimum QualificationsMust be 16 years of age or olderStrong customer service skills with kids and adultsMust be able to help customers in an efficient and effective mannerMust be able to take money and give appropriate change Skate, Rattle & Roll Skate Room Attendant ($13.00 - $14.00 per hour)Skate room attendants will be responsible for set-up and break-down of the skate room, issuing skating gear to patrons, and reporting skate shortages/damages to the manager. You will be assisting facility patrons (parents and kids) in the skate room to ensure they receive the correct sized skates, and tightening/loosening the wheels as needed. Responsibilities may include other tasks at the Skate Managers discretion. Minimum QualificationsMust be 16 years of age or olderStrong customer service skills with kids and adultsMust be able to help customers in an efficient and effective mannerMust exercise patience when dealing with children Skate, Rattle & Roll DJ ($13.00 - $14.00 per hour) DJ room employees will be responsible for set-up and break-down of the DJ room, playing an appropriate mixture of songs for patrons, and making announcements to patrons. You will also be watching patrons on the floor to enforce skating rules and ensure safety. Responsibilities may include other tasks at the Skate Managers discretion. Minimum QualificationsMust be 16 years of age or olderStrong customer service skills with kids and adultsBasic understanding of DJ equipment and song mixing Minimum Qualifications Requires strong customer service skills and the ability exercise tact and courtesy when interacting with patrons of all ages. Current First Aid and CPR certifications preferred for all positions. All positions require an acceptable criminal background check conducted prior to employment. . Supplemental Information A consistent and reliable attendance record is required. Must be available to work a revised schedule when needed. Physical Demands Requires regular, and at times sustained, performance of heavier physical tasks such as walking/running over rough or uneven surfaces, bending, stooping, kneeling, leaping, jumping down, standing in place or continual walking, lifting and carrying of moderate to heavy items (including people) on a consistent basis.
