Job Description:
Description Responsible for a variety of professional level
duties in the Human Resources Department pertaining to recruitment,
staffing, training, benefits and wellness. Responsible for
assisting with other human resource general processes. Usual hours
of work are Wednesday 10:30a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Thursday-Friday
from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Must also be willing to work flexible schedule of up to 20-25 hours
a week. Minimum Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent
supplemented by course work in human resources management, and at
least 2 years of experience in human resources field; or any
equivalent combination of education and experience.
Personal computer experience using Microsoft Word and Excel
software required.
Thorough knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.
General knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Supplemental Information Possession of a valid driver's license
issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Physical Demands Must be physically able to operate a variety of
automated office machines which include a computer, typewriter,
calculator, copier, facsimile machine, etc. Sedentary work involves
sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for
periods of time.
