Dealership – Service Department Growth & Outside Sales Position
Summary The Business Link Representative is responsible for
developing and maintaining relationships with local businesses,
fleet accounts, government entities, and community organizations to
generate service department business and increase dealership
visibility. This role focuses on outside sales, prospecting new
service opportunities, and creating long-term partnerships that
drive repair orders, maintenance contracts, and dealership loyalty.
Key Responsibilities Outside Sales & Account Development • Prospect
and develop new business accounts for fleet maintenance, commercial
service, and dealership partnerships • Visit local businesses,
municipalities, schools, ranches, oilfield companies, and other
target accounts regularly • Present dealership service
capabilities, maintenance programs, and fleet solutions • Build
relationships with key decision-makers to secure service
opportunities • Maintain an active pipeline of prospects and follow
up consistently Service Opportunity Growth • Identify service needs
within commercial accounts and coordinate service scheduling with
dealership service advisors • Promote preventative maintenance
programs, repair services, and dealership parts support • Work
closely with the service department to ensure customer needs are
met • Help generate repair orders and increase service retention
through account management • Support service department initiatives
to improve customer traffic and revenue Relationship Management •
Serve as the main contact for assigned business accounts • Maintain
strong communication with fleet customers and outside partners •
Resolve concerns quickly and professionally • Strengthen dealership
presence in the local market through community involvement Internal
Coordination • Communicate opportunities and customer needs with
Service Manager, Fixed Operations Director, and Parts Department •
Track account activity, service opportunities, and results •
Provide regular updates on sales efforts, account visits, and
closed business Qualifications • Automotive dealership experience
preferred • Outside sales, account management, or business
development experience strongly preferred • Strong communication
and relationship-building skills • Self-motivated and able to work
independently • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Performance Expectations • Meet monthly account visit goals •
Generate measurable service department growth • Increase fleet and
commercial service business • Maintain strong customer satisfaction
and retention • Represent dealership professionally in the
community Success in This Role Means • Bringing new service
business into the dealership • Creating long-term fleet and
