Job Description:
Description The entry-level AutoCAD Drafter will work directly
with the Engineering team to support the creation, maintenance, and
accuracy of engineering drawings. This role will primarily focus on
updating AutoCAD drawings based on engineer-provided redlines,
maintaining proper revision control, and assisting with design
documentation under the guidance of engineering staff. The AutoCAD
Drafter will collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and
operations to ensure drawings accurately reflect existing
conditions and design intent. Tasks & Responsibilities: Update and
revise AutoCAD drawings based on engineer-provided redlines and
markups. Maintain drawing accuracy, organization, and proper
revision history. Create and modify 2D layouts, fabrication
drawings, and equipment schematics. Assist engineers with
collecting field measurements and verifying existing conditions.
Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to
resolve drawing discrepancies. Prepare and update documentation
packages, including drawing sets, BOMs, and technical notes.
Following company drafting standards and engineering documentation
procedures Support revision control and document management
efforts. Assist with continuous improvement of drafting and
documentation workflows. Perform other design, drafting, or
administrative duties as assigned. Perform other duties assigned as
needed. Qualifications: Entry-level position: prior internship,
coursework, or academic project experience in drafting or
engineering support is a plus. Currently pursuing or recently
completed an associate or bachelor’s degree in drafting,
engineering, or a related technical field preferred. Basic to
intermediate proficiency in AutoCAD with a focus on 2D drafting.
Ability to read, understand, and accurately follow
engineer-provided redlines and markups. Familiarity with technical
drawings, layouts, and basic fabrication documentation. Willingness
to learn and follow drawing standards, revision control, and
documentation procedures. Ability to handle sensitive or
proprietary information with discretion. Strong written and verbal
communication skills. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office
applications, including Word and Excel. Ability to effectively
communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. Must have
reliable transportation to and from work and the ability to access
an industrial plant environment as needed.
