Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor & Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. - Women's Operating Room: Circulation of Cesarean Sections, D&Cs, Cerclages, and Bilateral Tubal Ligations. - Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certificate. Description: This position involves working in a Labor and Delivery unit. The unit has 27 beds and a total staff of 63.06. Staff structure includes Charge RNs, Unit Clerks, OR Techs, and Labor RNs. Patient ratios are 2:1 and 1:1 during procedures and admissions. Primary equipment includes CPN Monitors and Novii. The EMR used is Meditech/Centricity. Typical procedures include vaginal and cesarean deliveries, epidurals, bilateral tubal ligations, cerclages, emergent D&Cs, and emergent cerclages. Candidates should be fast-paced individuals with a strong initiative to care for patients like family. Preferred qualifications include OBED experience, MFTI scoring, and advanced fetal monitoring certification. Floating areas include Postpartum (not mother-baby) and Antepartum. Dress code requires royal blue scrubs, with allowed jacket colors of black, white, grey, or navy blue. Four weekend shifts are required each month, with no on-call duties. Shifts may be postponed or canceled if there is low census.
